Ecological Corridor Veracel Station – Pau Brasil National Park (Bahia)

Initiated in 2015, these efforts intended to gather perceptions and expectations of the main stakeholders in the territory regarding a proposal to connect two forest fragments in Southern Bahia: the Veracel Station Private Reserve of Natural Patrimony (RPPN / Veracel Celulose) and the Pau Brasil National Park (ICMBio).

Its main activities include:

• Technical support for the proposal;
• Interviews with landowners located within the proposed corridor, municipal authorities and other stakeholders in the territory;
• Mapping the evolution of the urban sprawl of Porto Seguro;
• Compilation and analysis of raised concerns and viewpoints.
